During travelling north you will see different landscapes - the mountains, plains, deserts, lakes and ponds drained by the great Heat ....
You can see herds of cattle, followed by some herders, nomads traveling on foot with their donkeys
- and with luck a caravan of camels carrying salt from Taoudenni.

Almost all travel affect Timbuktu . You can choose between "guided tour" or "by your own " to see the buildings built in different centuries: the mosques of Timbuktu, the houses of explorers with the Heinrich Barth Museum, the house of the foundress of Timbuktu, the monument "flame of peace", the houses of citizens ....

Going to Timbuktu we cross Niger River by ferry. The back plane gives you a beautiful view of the Inner Delta of the Niger River.
